I like exploring canals and boat slips of the South Shore. You never know what you will find in the way of an interesting photo opportunity. Textures work well here and recently I shot a diptych of two different hulls, one red and old, the other blue and old. It worded out really nicely, so much in fact I just sold it, to my surprise. Maybe I will share it here one day when I create a gallery of non-pinhole work, which is inevitable.
For now, though, here is a photo of a vessel in the canal that runs between the driveway to White Cap and J&R’s Steakhouse (which used to be Seascape featured on Gordon Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares). This canal flows into the Great Cove. I am not sure of the name of this canal, and Google Maps does not have any information. All I know is that there is usually some older and rattier fishing boats full of character and presumably full of even better stories. Here is one that I have been seeing more of this past summer.
