Two New Works

Just wanted to post two new pieces of work that I have enjoyed working on and sharing with others. Long Island Trailer Park was shot with my Canon 5DII with the always annoying (yet always interesting) Holga pinhole lens cap. Ocean was shot with my beloved and favorite camera, the Zero Image 612B.

Long Island Trailer Park Ocean I

    • Thanks Simon. The holga lens is interesting to use. If you use it on full frame (not sure about crop sensor), you see the lens in frame and have to compose around this. Also, if your sensor is dirty, you will see every little spec and amoeba and will have to spend some time cloning those out. But the results are always interesting and varied.

      • I moved to Lindenhurst in 1970 and a year later came to Fla., so I guess I just never came upon one. Thanks for answering, I’ve got the area pictured in my head now.

      • They are very “out of place” here on the island and as you can imagine, very tight and cramped for space with concrete lawns for the most part.

The one in Islip has the luxury of being on the canal leading to the Bay, at least. It has fascinated me for quite some time and want to go back and shoot more there.
