Just some photos from the last month, some pinhole, some from the fuji x100. Sorry I haven’t been updating, moved into a new apartment. Advertisements
UPDATE: My square multiple exposure below took “Honorable Mention” at the juried art show and will advance to their next exhibit in June!!! I am pleased to announce that two of my pinhole works taken with my Zero Image 612B have been selected to show in the Huntington Arts Council 10th Annual Juried Photography Competition. Opening reception is Friday, April 26th from 6pm – 8pm and will run until June 3rd. If any of you are in the Long Island […]
Just wanted to post two new pieces of work that I have enjoyed working on and sharing with others. Long Island Trailer Park was shot with my Canon 5DII with the always annoying (yet always interesting) Holga pinhole lens cap. Ocean was shot with my beloved and favorite camera, the Zero Image 612B.

My early love for abstract art was one of my primary reasons for picking up a camera in the first place. With my first camera some years ago, I immediately set out upon this wonderful world to capture and catalog what I found spoke to me in this language. I fully encourage everyone and anyone, no matter how long you have been involved in your craft, to go out and look for hidden abstractions or ones in plain sight. It […]
Usually I try to achieve this look by micro clicking in camera, advancing the film in incremental amounts and panning at the same time. However, this time, the film did it to itself. Maybe the roll was defective or wasn’t lined up right, but when pulled from the camera, it was crimped and torn. I wish every roll was like this 🙂 I think it makes a compelling series and really worked to my advantage. I hope you all […]
Intentional Camera Movement or ICM for short! Dragging the shutter. Long Exposures. Panning the camera for unexpected results. What an artful combination to employ! But be prepared to keep shooting the same subject until you get it just right! If you hate to Chimp, then this might not be the best form of photography for you. If you love unexpected results – have some fun! Here are some pointers I subscribe when out in the field. But I can’t emphasize […]
What a bad blogger I have been! With all the holiday madness, I haven’t even thought about updating Long Island Pinhole (Plus Some Digital Non Pinhole). Just as well, I don’t have much to say. So here are some photos I hope you will enjoy! Have a productive and healthy new year everyone and thanks for all the support in 2012! You are the best!

I haven’t been able to post for awhile now. Life has been busy. Been selling some works at fine art and craft shows and that has been going pretty well. And then those holidays. Such a time suck they are. Looking forward to a quiet beginning of next year… Speaking of the holidays, I bought myself new gear! For awhile now, I have been wanting a good non DSLR/non Film camera to walk around with. I commute into Downtown NYC […]
“What happened at the traffic circle is we actually saw two lanes of the roadway fall into the sand, into the ocean. We’re talking about cement slabs that really collapsed,” said George Gorman of the New York State Parks Department. “In addition at Field Number 5, there is no beachfront. The beachfront was taken out to sea.” ~CBS News I really am starting to feel ocean withdrawal. I miss the salty minerals, the sound of surf, overall tranquil moods that […]
